- In Kampala, Uganda, At least 34 people were killed after mudslides and floods engulfed their homes in eastern Uganda. Dozens of people are feared missing and remain unaccounted for after heavy rains triggered mudslides, which washed mountain slopes into houses.
- Also, Zimbabwe is currently facing fuel shortages which observers have linked to foreign currency shortfalls. This has negatively impacted women farmers who feed the nation as they need diesel to run their farms. Help fund the farmers who are feeding the nation!!
- On October 6, 2018, a magnitude 5.9 earthquake struck 19 kilometres northwest of Port-de-Paix, Haiti killing at least 17 people. The funds will be used for potable water, clothing, food & tents.
- Hurricane Michael was the third-most intense Atlantic hurricane to make landfall in the United States in terms of pressure. At least 54 deaths had been attributed to the storm, including 39 in the US & 15 in Central America.
